My Hidden treasures spotlight

Gilad's Journal

Hi all,
I don't know if you remember my work for the Israeli tourism department. For example this one –

Well, I'm going to do the follow up to this campaign this year. The campaign was a big hit and one of the shots was even selected as "picture of the day" by the BBC. I will be shooting 2-3 more portraits this year and I'm looking forward to that.
You can read more about it, and see some more of the campaign ads I did in this link – Putting Israel on the map
One more thing, it's possible that I'll be visiting Vienna (Austria) for a local exhibition around 8-10 of May. If you any suggestions of what to see, I'll love to know. Also, if you want to attend the exhibition, I'll update as soon as I have more details.

Now, I invite you to take a look with me, at 10 of my favorites Under my weekly spotlight

Gilad's Journal

Superb presentation of the beauty that is nature. The dark blue sea and flaming skies above. The saddle long exposure adds the needed magic to the shore line and the composition puts it all in wonderful balance.

This one captured me because of the mood it has. The slightly moving boats and distant city lights, and the vast ocean clear as ice… It has something dark, but very beautiful to it.

My favorite kind of shots. Great color contrast, smart composition, and a great visual candy, yet a so simple urban city objects that you simply understand how beauty is all around us if we know where and how to look.

Well, I don't know this building ("Westfield shopping center - Downtown San Francisco") but it sure is a beauty. The photographic work is superb. The balance, the composition, the symmetry.. Superb.

Tuscany… what a place. I haven't been there yet (I can't wait) but there is something about this place that simply is recognizable from the first glace. Makes me love our planet, and worry for it that we don't destroy it to the point we could destroy this kind of scenery, and maybe a whole lot more…

Brilliant shot. Almost iconic.
Great use of color and composition, and also of the materials. A great creative as an example of what we can do with some imagination.

The use of shadow here is fantastic. The cat looking ahead doesn't discover that he is about to leap away. The shadow tells that story. The smart composition allows us to see the story and enjoy it.

Remarkable view and landscape. The view itself would have made a great shot, but the addition of the legs adds a story and a feeling to the shot. I just love the use of legs and the way this was composed and cropped.

It's amazing to see how much beauty and quality is passed un-noticed here in all one week. I hope that more great work will get noticed here. It's up to us. Use the comments favorites power to support the un-noticed.

Keep supporting!

I'm not an artist or photographer myself. I'm your average woman with an appreciation for art that is moving and has depth. I just looked through your entire gallery, and was moved by your gift. How amazing that you bring such beauty to even the dark.
