My weekly spotlight, and a cool interview

Sun Oct 22, 2006, 3:58 AM

Gilad's Journal

I invite you to take a look with me, at 10 of my favorites Under my weekly spotlight, and also this week a small feature interview *Future-Art-Magazine did with me.

If you are intrested in reading the short interview, check it out:

It's really short, and kind of a "about me", but in a cool layout.
I want to thank *mizzdraconia for choosing me for that feature.

Those are some fluffy clouds... and I guess they taste good as well.
The power of a great idea.

Great atmosphere in this great work.
The texture, the subject, the minimalism.
Wonderful work

One of the best baby pictures.
The expression is heartbreaking. I love the hand creating a heart, which has been done before, but I think that not by a kid this age.

This photo reached about 200 :+FAV: and then It was taken off. I was informed it was a ripped piece, and I asked ~silentfunction for answers. He decided to ignore me, though I was very candid and supportive, and so I informed it as a ripped piece, and it was removed fron the site.
I apologize to all those who faved it, I didn't know at that time it was a rip off, and I don't know how had taken the original.

Great IR work!
You know I love the technique, and this shows you why.
Very well done, with the hot mirror removed from the 350D to make it compatble for IR photography.

Powerful and very "real" portrait.
It captures the street, and the person, in a very real moment.
The editing gave this an artistic feel, that only added to the frame.
Well done!

A wonderful and joyful frame.
That's the charm of decisive moment photography, the freezing of moment that symbolize something bigger than the moment itself. The hidden childish act of an older man... captures something we all wish ourselves for the future.

Have you heard of "poetry in motion"?
Well, that's what this is for me.

Get lost with this one.
A little suggestive and a little "landscape", but the both together are wonderful.

It's amazing to see how much beauty and quality is passed un-noticed here in all one week. I hope that more great work will get noticed here. It's up to us. Use the comments favorites power to support the un-noticed.

Keep supporting!

I'm not an artist or photographer myself. I'm your average woman with an appreciation for art that is moving and has depth. I just looked through your entire gallery, and was moved by your gift. How amazing that you bring such beauty to even the dark.
