Something to celebrate (?) and someone to recommen

Mon Oct 2, 2006, 2:38 AM

Gilad's Journal

Hello my friends,
Well, I was born today 13 years ago (Yeah... I wish).
I know this is a celebration. Just watch me clap :(

I mean, life is begining to be more about the memories and less about the future..
Well at least I have the present, and that's the best present I could get for my birthday.

And now, I invite you to take a look with me, at a bright and creative artist named Yuri (~yori1976). One that mixes the art of still photography with creative ideas and placement. Highly graphic style.
And of course, 10 of my favorites Under my weekly spotlight.

I would like to tell you how much I love the creative style Yuri is using, but why should I really? Just check it out.

Well, Isn't that something else?

Gilad's Journal

This has got to be one of the cutest shots I have ever seen.
The scene flashes before my eyes, and I imagine all the reasons the little guy had to be smiling like that. A kind of a "Mona Liza" smile...

A wonderful B&W portrait, with lots of life captured in it.
The eyes talk and the I feel like I know this guy. And I don't mean that in a "gay" way :)

A wonderful and creative macro work.
In these times, of Israeli new year, we celebrate it with lots of honey, so it also looks like the best timing for me to see this. Great capture!

This must be what an angel looks like, when the light turn off.
Wonderful technique used to get this shot. I don't know if it looks easy, but it's not.

It's a beautiful shot to see, and even hang on a wall.
Minimalisic and graphic frame.
Well done!

Maybe it's not perfect, kind of a 'snap shot' quality, but the expression captured here is priceless. A classic emotion shot.
Can you make up a story for it?

And for this week outstanding landscape shot.
The beauty is beyond photography, it's reality at it's best.
Great job capturing it so well.

It's amazing to see how much beauty and quality is passed un-noticed here in all one week. I hope that more great work will get noticed here. It's up to us. Use the comments favorites power to support the un-noticed.

Keep supporting!

Sometimes it is not what is planned for us that matters, but what we feel in the moment, and the actions we take when presented with that moment. :)

Live, Life, Love.

Top shots man.

One day we'll turn around and realise, we were only ever following ourselves. Everything temporary is beautiful and such is life. Enjoy it whilst it lasts.

I'm not an artist or photographer myself. I'm your average woman with an appreciation for art that is moving and has depth. I just looked through your entire gallery, and was moved by your gift. How amazing that you bring such beauty to even the dark.
