Artist's CommentsIf you follow my work for a while, you may have seen my yearly project of my son Yotam. I wanted to capture and freeze this period of his life. For me, for his mother, but especially for him. Many times we are left with pictures from that time in life, that shows our faces, but don't really tell who we were. This is what I wanted for my son. Follow the changes. So I decided to do one every year, for as long as I can (and he will let me So every year, on the Hebrew new year, I do a series of portraits of him. Set up a white screen behind him and always use the same lighting, same lens. Set up the exactly same conditions. The same as I did when he was four, three, two, and also one year old. Now he is six years old, starting school and becoming a small version of a man. This point of view allows me to see the scale of difference and believe me, it is amazing to follow the difference. see for yourself - Yotam, 2007 Yotam, 2006 Yotam, 2005 Yotam, 2004 Yotam, 2003 **** Shana Tova !! (That's "a happy new year" in Hebrew) May this coming year brings you some happy smiles and changes into your life. G |
