What you can see, we are deaf to know
Where you have been, we will never go
Touch the sky
Let our crying blow
Heal our generation
Pray for us, sing the song of songs

A little experimental shot.
I wanted to get the light as the main subject of the picture, with the tree a secondary player in the frame, and I played around with some ideas how to do it. Most of the methods got me the tree as the main subject, and I knew I had to do something with the lighting, only the light was to strong to try anything conventional
Light metering from the brightest spot.
Widest aperture (F1.8)
exposure relatively high - 0.62 seconds (but actually shorter, as explained)
the lens was covered for a period of time to create the dark tones surrounding the light, so actually i tricked the light metering to get the dark tones very contrasted to the light.
PS - contrast and some levels. B&W and toning.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Somehow it looks like one of those old pictures, where the sides are darker. But it fits. Great work.
