Little Balerina
Stays out of the pack
Lonely little dancer
Says a little prayer each day

Praised be You, Saint tree, through our Sister, Mother Earth
who sustains and governs us, producing varied fruits with coloured flowers and herbs.

Taken with a 20D converted to IR
First time shooting with it.

When I saw this in the thumbnail, I instantly thought how creative the tree stands perfectly in symmetry. I love the IR rendition.

The tree looks like a dancer on a center stage, while the audience lie in the background. The right branch looks like a bent knee as though she is about to take a bow.

Then I thought it looks like a marshmallow on a stick. I love the cloud that is hovering over, it's a nice contrasting compliment to the textures on the ground level.

I like the ambiguity, and the conceptual aspect to it, it's not easy fitting nature into that category. You have a good eye.

I'm wondering if it would look better if the tree was off center, but then there is enough room for my eyes to travel around. Beautiful image. :)

This picture has a particular impact on the eye, it catches it right away when you see it as a thumbnail, then you click on it 'cause you can't deal with it another way.
It's like a fantasy story that begins, at first sight the tree, then the background pops out and looks like cotton.
Finally the blue blue sky which has a sculpting effect on the tree and gives, in my opinion, all the strength of the picture.

Since the beginning the sky is there it's like an independant actor working as to give the tree a stunning effect, just like a technician working for the light of a movie, he's there but you don't see him at all.

I really appreciate this picture though I can't see the layers, they are just perfectly merged.

You did a great work, with a real perfectionnist touch, It's the kind of work that has to be followed as an example of pro work.

There's a beautiful stillness about this photo, and a sort of...lonely silence.
A stunning photo, as usual:)

Infra Red or is that just one wicked frost?
