I'm tough, I'm high
With my head up, in the sky
Standing still in the cold, in the heat
Standing tall, high above the wheat
I have a small secret that no one knows
As time goes by, I can feel how it grows
I would like to be wheat, in the back of my mind
Be allowed to lean and bend, to run and hide
They look up to me, the one standing still
They give me respect, being the king of the hill
But if only for a couple of hours, not even a day
I could be one of them; I'll disappear and go on my way

A wonderful acacia tree I saw while driving near Beer sheva, Israel.
This is the regular version of a photo I already submited with a Hoya R72 filter (Infra Red).
In fact, this will make it easy for you to notice the difference between regular, and the Infra Red filter effect.
It's almost the exact frame with the filter off.
Here is the Infra Red version ---> [link]
Nikon D70 with Sigma 10-20mm.
I shot this from a very low angle, to get a more intresting look at the "lonely tree" classic theme.
A tripod burried in the wheat
Hey! I really do like this. Is it okay if I use it as an image (with you sourced as credit) on a website for a summer gathering? It would just be the image for a conversation - no profit whatsoever, but it does get your name out there a little. Just let me know!
i'm so jealous !!!!!! this is absolutely brilliant work. love the colors and how balanced everything is. the poem really describes the perspective of the photo. very inspiring indeed!
