Shores of oblivion by gilad Shores of oblivion by gilad

I don't know how I got here
I don't know how to get out
To stay all alone with myself
Is the real danger here
Without a dbout

****

Well, after a tribute to my dad, and a short story, it's time for photography again.
This one was hard to do.
I wanted to get the long exposure effect on the water, and so I used a fantastic 64*ND filter on my very wide 10mm lens.
Even though it was close to sunset time, I was able to get a 5 seconds exposure.
Shores of Herzelia, Israel.

Full view will be better, trust me
I hope you like it, and feel it.

That's what i imagine Hell would look like... depressive and empty except for the fog of despair hanging over everyone...

I love this one. It's so dark yet somewhere inside of it there is mixed an understanding that you will survive. That there is more to come and you will reach it. I love the mix of emotions it calls to hand.

ow, amazing. i love smooth-but-kinda-grainy effect of the water. the way the emptier left side of the picture is filled by the light, nice balance if you ask me.

It darkens natural light and allows to do long exposures even in day light

No :)
I used 10mm (not fish eye), converted to B&W and added the blue tones.

I'm envious of all the places you go to shoot...I hope one day, I too, will follow in your footsteps (quite literally). Breathtaking shot. Your attentiveness to detail and your extensive labor to execute every shot is a quality that I admire about you as a photographer.

Think of the last golden sunray
Follow it to the horizon
Open your eyes to find it here
Stretch out your hand...
Touch it
Embrace it
