That's actually very interesting what you say in the comment. You say it is "sad to see these scars on the face our beautiful planet", whereas for me it has the same valor as beauty.
Maybe I just took something of turpist poetry style that ugliness can be beautiful but this is somehow my future aim for life - tracking down such places in order to make a collections of such to raise the awareness of our surroundings. I think of it as a mission to show not only the most beautiful places in the world as it is in common (usually, of course there are exceptions) but those that people even don't want to see, that they deny or don't think about such places.
