The human race is committing suicide, and we have the scars to prove it...

****

Sad to see these scars on the face our beautiful planet.
Taken at Hadera beach, Israel.

Despite the smokestacks and the rust, and the bleakness in the sky there is something oddly compelling about this.

there is a certain beauty to all things, even destruction. Great lighting here; the shade off to the left is subtle, but says a lot.

It is scary that this seemingly post-apocalyptic scene is so easily seen from a modern beach.

That's actually very interesting what you say in the comment. You say it is "sad to see these scars on the face our beautiful planet", whereas for me it has the same valor as beauty.

Maybe I just took something of turpist poetry style that ugliness can be beautiful but this is somehow my future aim for life - tracking down such places in order to make a collections of such to raise the awareness of our surroundings. I think of it as a mission to show not only the most beautiful places in the world as it is in common (usually, of course there are exceptions) but those that people even don't want to see, that they deny or don't think about such places.

Ah, well...
