I wake up,
The sun gives me a wink, a smile. I kiss you on your back, and you answer with a small Hmmm... I can smell the morning, strecheng my back from the cold night. All is routine, even the banal coffee. Mybe a small crispy cockie, A newspaper with yeasterday deads. I think today is going to be lovely. ****** I'm sorry for the harsh message. I'm not sure all can relate to it, as strongly as I feel about it. I don't mean to be political, and I'm not making a point about who is right or wrong. This is just a symbol of living in the shocking reality of life under terror. My personal way of screaming "I had enough". It's the way we accept our reallity that is the most shocking for me. Living so long under terror has made us apathetic to the dead, to the loss. Though it's right here, around the corner. Mybe this is my last cup of coffee Comments
Great impact. Your pic is so simple though so dramatic.
-- Silvia Ganora Photography (photo)blogging sil kina makes you wonder why to go out and do stuff when you can be killed just because you were born here, to this religion, to this country, when you didn't even had a say in it.
i'm proud been Israeli and hopefuly when i'll grow up. "just another morning" will have different meaning. Iit's a great picture, and art sould be about the thing you experience. well done. -- My gallery:[link] Buy my prints:[link] and let's hope the day will shortly come when all the nations will understand who are the real obstacle to freedom and peace. and have a look to what I would call a tribute to freedom - an image made by one of your friends...Adys - The Red Sea [link] -- Roland i think this has such an important and powerful message. it's simple and yet says so much.
i cannot claim to understand what it is like to live your life like that. and what makes it all the more complicated is the fact that there is probably someone on the other side of the fence.. who is having the same thoughts as you as he leaves his home in the morning.. i do not think your message is harsh. it is honest. after the bomb blast in Taba.. people went about their day as though nothing happened. there was no sign of what had just happened a few hours away because people seem to have become numb to all of this. another suicide bombing? ok... that's the attitude that seems to have become the norm all over the world. your photo has made me think more than i would like to. because in a way.. i am no different from those people. what did i do to try and make a statement? and i respect you for what you have said here. i'm sure there are a lot of things we might disagree on in certain aspects of this situation... but here.. i couldnt agree with you more. |
