Heading into a storm

Description

It's just one of these days
One of those stormy days
A day that leaves you no option
But heading into a storm

I'm going to go through it myself,
Fight with my demons on the right to survive
I'm going to make war with the rain,
I'm going to run againts the wind

I don't know if I'll make it
If I'll get to live another day
If the wind won't break my spirit
If the rain won't drown me in it's tears

I don't know my future
But I do know looking back
I'm a better man just for trying
Heading into a storm . . .

After The Storm

You won't get this kind of shot from me very often.
This is a planned scene, modeled and techniquely planned.
It didn't dtarted that way, I was going for my usuall "hunting" work, but when opportunity comes...

Well, I asked this model (who is a fellow potographer) to stand againts the wind (that was strong and it was cold too).
I placed myslf in the scene lying on the floor behind him, so I could get the prespective of the bridge, and the dramatic sky above (without the buildings on the other side of the bridge).
I've set my SB800 flash to slave, to sync with my camera, annd placed it on his left.
I also use the help of ~lironc with his SB800 on hus right, so I actually was in sync with two sourced of light (Plus my camera's interior light). Then, I underexposed the scene manually to create a darker feeling with stronger contrast, and warmed the WB.

Camera: Nikon D70
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm
ISO: 400
Location: The north side of the Tel-Aviv harbor (The reeding bridge). Israel.

Many thank to ~lironc for his help.
Please, watch in full view.
