To those that doesn't know him, this is Yotam, my son.
This is a special moment in his life, In mine too.
This is the exact moment when he touched the sea for the first time.
A magic moment to last a lifetime.
When I took the light metering form the reflection, to get it in the right exposure and depth, the brighter colours, outside of the reflection got slightly over exposed. There is no way to expose both in a perfect way.
I wanted to keep the contrast between the two sides, cause that is what brings the extra depth to the meaning of the picture (two contrasted worlds). Thank you!
even now, when i look in the mirror, sometimes I do not recognize the image in the mirror as myself. It's so strange. This would not have had such a potent effect if the image were right side up. but then again, what really is right side up?
Your son is so lucky to have such a magical moment captured.
Congratulations, and him too, even if he can't understand it now
beautiful moment you captured

i love how the reflection eclipses the reality.
