Death on the beach by gilad Death on the beach by gilad

Will somebody even know I'm dead?
I can die here and it will take forever to find out
Lost in the sands of time, rusting alone under the sun
You won't read about it in the papers
Not even an inch in the local classifieds

I don't regret dying, maybe just being born
My life didnít change anything for anyone
Lost in the sands of time, dying under the sun
Let the dialogue between the Spirit and the sand begin
After all, death is frightening, but so is Eternal Life

****

This was taken on the beach, near Hadera, Israel.
It makes you wonder how a car got so deep into a sandy beach, at least mile from any road, but stranger things have been known to happen.

Hey man.
Just checking your old works. I was just wondering how you got the dark exposure on the sky but so bright on the car ? =D The concept behind id very relative.

The sky was dark.
The sunset was behind me, spreading the ligh very low, wheli the sky was getting very dark on the opposite side because of the heavy clouds. No special technique was used :)

Thank you for checking this out :)

I mean the exact same spot. That same destroyed car was used in another shot. Both that one and this one are very good, I was just saying since it seems nobody else had caught on yet. Personally I think the other one is a lot more effective, what with the power plant standing tall in the background.

<;pardon me, i feel compelled to write a mini-story>

This is a tale of all times.

Years ago, on a day of your choosing, a couple, age and gender of your choosing, tried to coerce their car over the windblown dunes. They were stopped short by the persistent sands. The sands always stopped them before they finished. Dreams and missions halted in their tracks. Today all that would change. They left their car, their only means of protection from the sands, on the top of the dunes that did everything to stop them. Hand in hand, they made their way into the ocean and out of this world. The sands could not stop them. In vengence, the sands are now waging a meticulous war against the car and one day, it too will be gone.

<end.>

i'm really moved by this picture and i don't really know why. it reminds me of literature...thanks for sharing this!

it i sso surreal, all the colors jsut take my breath away, here in the sunny part of the world we never get clouds like that, it's hard to believe they exist, especially today when there's not a CLOUD IN SIGHT ...

do you go hunting for all these scenes? or do you just walk about or drive around? for it seems that most of your pictures seem to be taken in magical places in which time has done away with the human race and let mother earth take back what we had taken so she is in the process of eliminating all trace we ever existed :)
